    Del Dragons send their "Southern Jumbo" to Europe. Another Austin band leaves home to find recognition and a recording home with Dixie Frog Records, (joining label mates Jason & the Scorchers and Lee Rocker). Dixie Frog just released "Southern Jumbo" throughout Europe, where it will be distributed by Rounder.

    Head Dragon Troy Dillinger says, "The strongholds are in France and Italy, with a few radio stations already adding it to regular rotation." A European tour isn't planned until April, 1998, after the SXSW Music Conference, where Troy will be workin' those label reps hard.

    You can always depend on Del Dragons to deliver good old-fashioned rock n' roll 'n stones and "Southern Jumbo" - doesn't disappoint. Personally, I keep hitting the replay button...just love those hot sweaty Texas guitars.

    Unfortunately, the sexy throaty voice of Kim Patty will be departing the group at the end of the year to spend quality time with her children. That's a rough call to make, but the rigors of life on the road can be hard.
